My name is Edward Viterbo – I have been a restaurateur for over 20 years in New Zealand.
Do you operate any other restaurants?🥘
Yes, we run Red Crab in Waiheke, Thai Street in Wynyard Quarter and Siamese Doll in Hobsonville.
We opened Mai Thai in Auckland CBD in 1989 and recently have closed this to focus on our other establishments.
What's your favourite dish? 🍜
For lunch my favourite is definitely Pad Thai and dinner Massaman Lamb.
What is XO’s point of difference? 😎
Our chefs are experienced in a wide range of cuisines from contemporary European dishes all the way to Pan Asian food - this is what we are showcasing at XO. In the morning you can see our fresh baked pastries and coffee, and by evening a range of modern unique foods with an Asian twist.
How long have you been operating resturants? 🧑🍳
More than 20 years.
Who is the inspiration behind your recipes? 💚
My Grandmother, who taught me how to cook delicious traditional home cooked meals.
